"Old-fashioned games and classroom artifacts will be featured as part of the "Back to School - Remembered" program planned by the Carol Stream Historical Society from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Historic Farmhouse, 301 Lies Road, Carol Stream. 

  The Farmhouse, just west of Gary Avenue and Hampe Park, offers history buffs and those remembering school days of the 1940s another look at school history.  Entertainment will feature Bill Hooper of West Chicago with an interactive program of songs for the entire family. Long-time Carol Stream resident Tim Yoshino will display his drawings of both old and new DuPage County schools. 
Keeping with the theme of years gone by, ice cream sundaes will be sold for 50 cents. There also will be a used book sale and a raffle."
